Identifying hardware?
Hi,
My university just got rid of some old Apple hardware. I myself have an Apple
//e with a SCSI card, etc., etc, etc.
What I am wondering is if some of the following hardware can be used with my
Apple //e, and if so, what software might be available, as well as any addit-
ional hardware requirements.
I have two 3.5" (400k?) drives that are about 2.5" inches high by 5.25 inches
wide by 6 inches deep. They are beige in color and have a subdued Apple logo
on the front. They also have a 19 D-sub low density connector. What type
of drives are these and can they be used with a UniDisk controller for an
Apple //e?
Next, I was given an Apple 40SC Tape Backup. I did locate the manual for the
beast, however, is it possible to locate the tape cartridges for this such
model? Was there ever any software developed for an Apple II to access a
tape backup. Lastly, are there any programming resources available for the
tape backup (should I choose to write my own program).
Lastly, I found a 5.25" floppy drive that reads Apple PC 5.25 Drive. What is
this type of drive for and what is its capacity? It has a 37pin dsub connect-
or. It has a floppy drive icon on the cable so it probably isn't a SCSI device.
Is it possible to use this floppy drive with an Apple II?
Thank you for your assistance (in advance). E-mail if at all possible!
