Indeed. I share a bus between my RF and a Powerbook Duo (w/SCSI dock) -
never, ever, switch computers without actually shutting down the Powerbook
(as opposed to just putting it to sleep). Now that was one corrupt HFS
partition. :)

However, as long as one is careful to never have both initiators active at
once (including the suspended activity of sleep), it's fine. And the RF has
no problems dealing with a Powerbook in SCSI disk mode. It's also better than
the Apple SCSI if a device has a hidden Mac driver partition present; the
Apple card will attempt to mount the partition, producing a consistent and
annoying "eject or initialise" dialog.

Actually, the RF seemed to do better than the Iomega drivers in using a
borrowed Zip drive (needed to backup and reformat the messed up HFS partition 
mentioned above). Just less flaky about the removable media, although it
can't deal with the MS-LOSS partitioning scheme on a preformatted cartridge
(or fixed disk).
