That sounds like one of two things:

1) There is not a copy of the ProDOS kernal (PRODOS) on the diskette.
2) There is bad sector w/i the file PRODOS on the diskette.

* KingQWK 1.05 # [PK] * 0 to 60 does not count...it's 85 to 55 that matters!
