This is very, very interesting and is *exactly* what I was thinking
of.
I wonder how difficult it would be to mock up a simple card that has
256 bytes of ROM and installs into slot 7...
If the component/wire count could be kept to a minimum, I wonder if
this is something hobbyists could build in a couple of hours...
