Even though you should be posting in comp.sys.mac(?), here's the lowdown
on Apple's upgrades:

You should go to ftp.support.apple.com, then to their
pub/updates/mac/US/system software (it will be in that order, with like
names) and look for System 7.1.2 updates.  Another, possibly easier, way
to do this would be to just go to your dealer, who is required to provide
the update free of charge.  Yet another (and better solution if you have 8
meg of RAM or more) is to run System 7.5.3 (System 7.5 with Update 2.0). 
System 7.5 is pretty spiffy :)
