Although even this may *not* be the first product placement in a movie, you
might check out the 1962 movie "That Touch of Mink" with Doris Day and Cary
Grant. It features scenes of card sorters and printers and even a computer
front panel. On the back wall in large letters is the word "UNIVAC". So this
might at least rate as the first overt example of computer product placement.
