Just use comp.sys.apple2 in the meantime.  I doubt anyone here will be
too fussed (at least the Apple III is pretty close to the Apple II).

It is pretty unlikely that an Apple III newsgroup proposal for the comp
hierarchy would pass (you need at least 100 votes, for starters).  If
you want a specific Apple III discussion area, consider setting up a
mailing list.
