Impossible Apple software<->Internet headache

I don't know what to do. I can't get my Apple II+ off the ground, all I
need is a modem program in .DSK format! Then, I can start using .SHK and
..BSQ type files!

Problems:

* I still don't have a basic modem/comm program on my II+!
* I can't find a .DSK file that has a modem program.
* The only one I found was KERMITP.DSK (Kermit-65 on Prodos) from Asimov and
   it doesn't work because that disk has the Apple Com Card driver, not
   the Apple Super Serial card driver which I need.
* I have no way of transferring any other type of file on the internet
   like .SHK .BSQ etc without a comm program. Catch-22.

The only way I have figured out how to transfer to my II+ goes as follows:

1) Log into the Internet with my IBM/Windows PC.
2) FTP a disk image file (filename.DSK) to my PC hard drive.
   (Asimov has lots of .dsk files)
3) Log off and connect a serial cable between my IBM and my II+
4) Use ADT (Apple Disk Transfer) to send filename.DSK to my II+. ADT writes
   the .DSK file directly to my Disk II, thus creating a real Apple disk.
5) Reboot the II+ and run the program.

This works great, except I still haven't got a modem program! Plenty of
games and utilities but no comm program!

I *think* I need: a .DSK of a modem program that *will work* with a II+ and
                   Super Serial Card.

I feel so close, but this has been going on for a month and I'm about to
give it up!  ug.

Clueless,
