Adalbert Goertz gave out incorrect information when he posted:
>I dont see any reason why you could not download graphics to your IIe
>and view them with a viewer like SHR.VIEW which can view SHR, GIF etc.
>(not jpeg). SHR.VIEW is a Prods8 based SYS program.
Arrgghh!!! The very first sentence of the documentation to SHR.View quite
clearly states:
SHR VIEW [SV] IS A SLIDE SHOW PROGRAM FOR THE APPLE IIGS.
(Yes, I'm shouting.)
If you don't know the answer to something, it does no one any good by
trying to answer questions with wrong information. Please observe some
netiquette and sit back and let someone who knows what they are talking
about answer the questions that you are just taking wild guesses at.
As someone else posted the other day...there's only one program that
allows people to view GIFs on a IIe, and it's Jason Harper's freeware
IIGIF. That's available at your favorite Apple II ftp site.
