Most apple drives could be tweaked into writing 40 tracks. There were a number of patches published in Nibble, A+ &c to that effect. Shortly before the 3 1/2 inch drives came out a company was selling a very high capacity (700 kb??). I think there name was Rama or Rama or something like that. It was, as I recall, a dual floppy.
