Assuming you don't have, or don't know how to use, a block editor, and that 
ProSel can't correct it (it will correct many problems, but not all), I've 
managed to clean up problems like this in two ways (both with a loss of 
that file or directory with the bad name).  These can both be done with 
the finder.

The first requires that the bad file name (directory or otherwise) be in 
a sub directory and not the main directory.  Copy all files you can 
manipulate to a new directory, then delete the directory with the bad 
file name in it.

This will not help you recover the bad file, but I don't think anything will
let you do it properly.  It could also leave you with a few blocks that are
marked as used but not associated with a filename.

The second method works if the bad file name is the in the main directory.
Copy all files to another disk except for the bad one, then erase or init 
the old disk.
