Six weeks ago I told this group that I mailed my Upgrade check to
Westcode Software to get v.1.1 of INWORDS (text-scanning software.
I mailed the check on November 20th. Two phone calls, and two indignant
letters brought no action.
Two readers of the list sent me v.1.1 in the past month, so I was able to
dust off the Quickie scanner that had been idle. I thank those readers
(unnamed, but they know who they are ....)
Now, 128 days after my upgrade check was sent, I received a buig parcel
from the Executive Officer of Westcode Software. He apologized for the 4
month delay, and enclosed Inwords 1.1.
In addition, my payment was returned. He also gave me free shrinkwrapped
software packages of these: HARD PRESSED IIGS, TYPEWEST IIGS, and
POINTLESS IIGS.
In all, this is very generous of the company and I thank them for sending it.
I hope that Westcode continues to support their Apple IIgs products with
new releases and further upgrade versions.
