Double Whoa...

A possible source of problems comparing the sound capabilities of the GS with
modern sound cards might be the sound system they're connected to. I was
always impressed with my GS's sound output through my rather limited stereo
system, but I was amazed when I heard it on my brother's really nice sound
system. I'm sure the PC sound cards are the same way. Specifically, the
limiting factor probably isn't the card, but the sound system it's connected
to. Soooo, someone comparing an older system on a great sound system to a new
multimedia system on a more limited sound system may get the wrong
impression. In any event, computer sound has certainly come a long way!
