   CGA? As in the really atrocious color sets that IBM bundled with
their computers for the first few years of the PC? It's been
supplanted by EGA and now [S]VGA, which are far more powerful. But, to
answer your question, the GS puts out analog video, while C/E/VGA are
digital RGB. Big difference. But, a VGA monitor card is available from
Sequential Systems for about $160 for the 8-bit one. That should let
you use up to a 21" monitor on your GS. :)
