Yes.  If the card was connected at an angle in the slot at some point,
(or inserted in any other way which allows adjacent pins to short out)
then you may have blown the bottom bit of the slot data bus on any
connected card (D0 is adjacent to +12, near the front of the card) or
the motherboard.

Other possible shorts are -12 with INHIBIT, -5 with -12, or -5 with
M2B0.  Other buffered slot signals may also be affected.

It sounds like the ZIP and something else on the motherboard is damaged.

It could have been something like a brief power surge blowing up
something on the ZIP and motherboard (possibly via the ZIP's processor
cable, because the slot bus is somewhat isolated from the CPU).
