Yes, the Microsoft card has switches, but their settings don't depend on your
slot settings.  There are four switches--one to control Z80 address remapping
(this switch should always be off, or CP/M won't boot), one to control whether
or not the Softcard allows other cards to do DMA, and two to control whether
or not the Softcard responds to interrupts.  Leaving all four switches off
should work just fine in most environments.  Some people may want to turn on
the "allow DMA" switch, or the "respond to IRQ" switch (I turned on the
"respond to IRQ" switch on my Softcard, to allow my copy of CP/M Kermit to
run at 19200 baud without dropping charcters).

P.S.  Speaking of CP/M Kermit...is anybody out there interested in a driver
that makes it work with the IIGS serial port?
