Richard, what computer do you use to access Compuserve's PPP?
Last I looked, CIS PPP is only available to computers that can
run a stand-alone Web-browser such as Netscape Navigator or
Mosaic, i.e. Mac and IBM/Compatibles. I say again, There Ain't
No Such Animal For the Apple II. The only Internet functions
available to Apple II or III users on Compuserve is Email,
Usenet, and telnet. All other Internet features require either
Compuserve proprietary software or stand-alone Internet software,
neither of which is available to Apple II users. That's why I'm
adding a GEnie account, in spite of the recent price hike. GEnie
supports Lynx. CIS doesn't, and has said they aren't going to,
so I'm shifting SOME (Not All) of my usage to GEnie.
