I have had a chance to speed test a 7/32 I bought from Alltech
Electronics years ago vs a 8/16 bought directly from Zip Tech.
running Prism. The 8/16 converted graphics oh maybe 1-2 seconds
faster on average. Prism was the only thing processor intensive
enough that we could gague the speed and had a progress indicator
bar. Everything else looked pretty much the same, ie the Finder,
etc. AppleWorks v4 loaded maybe 8 seconds faster with a 7/32,
but that's because it has a RAMFast and not the Apple HS SCSI.
:)
Ah, it's good to be back in Apple II land! :)
