As far as I've heard, extra cache is better, since you would be upgrading
the mhz anyway by putting in new oscillators, etc.  There is a FAQ at
http://www.ugcs.caltech.edu/~nathan/apl2.resource.html on upgrading zip
accelerators.  What I have also heard, however, is that you can seriously
damage Zip accelerators by attempting to upgrade them, and that the AE
Transwarp GS is less likely to become damaged.  You can buy Transwarp GS's
used for aroun $70 usually (if you can find one).  There is also a company
which actually seems to be Applied Engineering (the original makers of the
AE Transwarp GS) in Australia.  They may be able to ship you an unuse one
if you prefer to buy new (although the shipping charge will kill ya :). My
own preference would be to go for a TranswarpGS with a 32k cache.
