CDA's are Classic Desk Accesories.  NDA's are New Desk Accessories.  
CDA's show up in your menu when you press apple-control-escape (the 
Control Panel).  New Desk Accessories show up in the Apple Menu (the 
Apple on the left of the screen). I'm not sure which System software 
they work with, probably 5.0.x and up.
