Never, Never, Never, ever pay for something long distance by any other 
means than a credit card unless: 1)It is a very reputable person present 
here on comp.sys.apple2. 2)A company that you have successfully dealt 
with "several" times over the years. 3)It is your mother. The credit card 
company will go to bat for you every time as long as you have a 
reasonable reason for a requested reversal.
