I had a similar thing happen to me with a 90Mb CDC drive when I tried
to add another SCSI device onto the chain - have you tried to add any
other devices onto your SCSI chain lately?
It turned out that the drive supplied termpower to the chain, and
adding the other device (a CD-SC) drew too much power from the
drive and prevented spin up. It would just sit with it's access
light on.
I have a Rev C SCSI card, although not the HS variety.
