	I've used a Panasonic KX-P1091 parallel 9-pin through a Videx 
Uniprint card for years, fist on my IIe and now on my IIGS.  Try slot 1, 
make sure the Control Panel is set to "Your Card", and try the Epson 
emulator in Appleworks (or the Panasonic emulator in AW>3.0).  Also 
loading the Epson driver in System 6.0.1 might help.  Good Luck!
