Find someone with a PC Transporter on their GS and the transfer of text
and GIF files, and zipped downloads onto the GS that were intended for
MSDOS use can be ported over to the MS/Dos disk drives of the PCT in a
couple keystrokes. I regularly get downloads for the opposite platform
on either the GS or the 486, and the swap is so simple that it isn't
worth switching computers before the download.
If the PCT you find only has a 5.25 drive on it, and you want 3.5, a
used IDE 3.5 will fit right into the transdrive case extra bay on the
PCT and cost about $8. Or you can hook your apple 3.5 to the PCT
temporarily, and convert all your files to MS/Dos 3.5s with it and then
move the cable back to the smartport.
