I just got an early model of RAMFAST SCSI:
RAMFAST Rev. B, 256K, serial No. 0134.
It looks clean and is claimed to work. But its internal cable is
missing ---- the cable that connects from the 26-pin IDE connector on the
card to the back panel of the IIgs, to the 25-pin SCSI connector back there.
Question: I have a spare SCSI cable from a CMS-SCSI card ---- has 26
holes at the card-end, and the db-25 female connector for the back panel
of the computer ----- can this internal cable work with RAMFAST.
DMA AND RAMFAST: My IIgs has a ZIP 7/64 accelerator, and it also has a
Chinook RAM 4000 4 meg RAM board. Should I set the dip switches for
"DMA-ON" or for "DMA-OFF"?
With the bank of 8 DIP switches on this Ramfast, how should the DIPs be
set when you have only one hard drive connected?
My hard drive is 239 megs SCSI and I want to keep the present partitions
and all data as they now are. Will RAMFAST force me to repartition and
reformat?
Ramfast experts, please advise!
