Swayed from the apple II path

OK. I'm going to keep this short cause lost everything I tried to send
to this newsgroup when my server locked.

I have an Apple IIe.

I used to have a II+ that my mom gave away while I was at college.

I know nothing about the hardware of the IIe, but there was a book that
was supposed to be released called, "Understanding the Apple IIe",
by a man named Jim Sather.

I have the old version of this book, and am quite proficient with the
older Apples prior to Apples move to ASIC's. These are the one's that
use dozen's of discrete 74LS chips and make a ton of heat.

I need new copies of system disks (DOS 3.3, maybe PRODOS), and some
utilities (word processor with spell check, maybe a C or BASIC compiler.

I am willing to let you have this old black apple motherboard (syscom II)
that I have. This board is out of commision most likely due to an
EPROM failure, and it uses NEC 2732 EPROMS so it would be hard to
resurrect it with old monitor or Autostart ROMs. However, it may be
able to resurrect it with ROM dumps for a PC and a prom burner. It would
make a terrific parts board, and all chips including loaded 4116 Ram
banks are intact.

Also, does anybody know what happened to Jim Sather or his book?
