    Avoid un-named and no-name sticks, especially via mail order. Avoid
the "Majik" stick, which uses magnetic centering-- it rotten for both
games and graphics. As for Radio Shack, I do not know if their sticks have
gotten any better over the years-- their earlier models were pretty sorry.

    Ideally, you would like to be able to buy a new for-Apple CH Products
or Kraft stick. If you cannot find any, then your next best idea is to get
a new for-PC stick and use a PC-to-Apple converter. (The converter is a
short cable which accepts the 15-pin PC joystick plug and ends with a
9-pin Apple plug.)  CH Products and Kraft make good PC sticks, too.
