A IIc is NOT a IIci. Mac-compatible MIDI serial port interfaces work only
on the IIgs, as far as members of the II family go. The 6522 UART used in
the IIc is not capable of the ~30.1 kbaud MIDI data rate. The IIe and II Plus
had cards available from Passport and others for MIDI. As far as I'm aware,
there's no such solution for the IIc.

Again, the IIc is not the IIci, and I know of no way to do MIDI on one.
The IIgs is best supported for this application among IIs, and even it's
software (MasterTracks Pro) is seriously creaky for doing even semi-complex
amateur sequencing. (I've been trying now that I have an equally creaky
and very fun Ensoniq Mirage around, and it's an uphill battle).
