Yes. Use something like ProTERM (8-bit, commercial), ANSITerm
(8-bit but GS only, commercial), Spectrum (16-bit, commercial),
or Agate (8-bit, not commercial) to get the file to your computer
(I really reccomend getting a Hard Drive/accelerator/4MB RAM if you
don't already).

I think it's just the Apple 12" RGB monitor.

You have the standard screen, which is pretty much the best you
can use on a GS without getting a Second Sight card.

To view GIFs and TIFFs, I reccomend Prism. You could also use
SuperConvert if you'd like more load/save filetypes, but SC
cannot output 3200 color pictures.

Be sure to consider Convert3200 which is by far the fastest GS graphics
converter yet. It's by Brutal Deluxe, a great group of guys who've
written some pretty cool GS stuff. As the name implies, it reads a bunch
of formats and converts 'em to 3200 color pics or a lot of other formats.
It's available from Joe Kohn for a rediculous $15.

If you'd like to view JPEGs, you have only a few options. I use
jvprerelease, a program that displays JPEGs in greyscale. Grab it from
my ftp site:

ftp.stolaf.edu in /pub/apple2/utils/
-rw-r--r-- 1 handel student 14762 Apr 19 1995 jpegview.shk

Or, you can use djpeg in gno to convert it to a gif and then view that
with any of the aforementioned utilities. This is very slow; I reccomend
converting it before you download it.

Finally, I think there's a 1WSW program that converts JPEGs to PPMs
and then to 3200 color pics, but I've only used it once.

I'll mail this to you, but I'm also posting in case someone else
is interested.

^^^ by the way, note that some news readers like rn truncate .signature's
