Warning: Infinite Loop While Walking Icon List

Mmm-hmm, sounds EXACTLY like a corrupted Icon file. Here's what you do:
 
Delete (or move) ALL your icon files. Now take the old install disk and move
the "FTYPE.APPLE" to your Icons folder. That should fix it. If you still want
those old icons, move them back one by one until you have the problem occur...
and then, presto, there's the corrupted file.
