I have been using the Magnavox Professional since I got my GS. It does have
tiny black lines running accross the screen. There isn't anything I know
of that will remove them other than to defocus the beam to the point that
characters will be blurry also.
There are two reasons why a Pentium monitor will look better. First, it
has at least twice as many vertical lines on the screen, which reduces
the black line between scan lines to half or less. Also, the design of
new monitors has improved dramatically in the last 8 or so years, making
any image look better. Unfortunatly, very few of the new monitors will
work with the GS.
