So, would it be fair to say that "true" RPG's =must= have Race,
Class, and Experience stats? These could possibly be decisive,
for several reasons that occur to me.
IMHO those who desire "stats" alone aren't clearing up the
question. "Apshai" uses experience points. "Apshai's" sequel,
"Hellfire Warrior" had a complex story, dungeon, and multilevel
quest as well as quite a few magic items. Heck, even Eamon uses
Strength, Agility, Charisma, and Magic-using stats. Given some
arguments, you could almost say that Eamon was the first RPG. <g>
