I use AW 3.0 with output direct and as-is to an Oki OL-400, a $400 HPII
compat. I've prepared ms for publication submission this way, and
produced my own thesis copies to go directly to binding. There's an HPII
patch for the printers section of AW 3.0 somewhere -- that's what I used.
In the lab, I have a PowerPC 8100/100AV, a SPARC Classic, an SGI 4D
GX4000/50 and Personal Iris and more PCs and Macs laying about, all
hooked to a Panasonic Postscript huge monster of a printer. I'd still
rather use my GS, and do, and nobody can tell the difference.
