Help with sys.6.0.1 copying problem

I'm trying to copy my several 32mb ProDOS partitions onto 100mb disks by
dragging the HD icon onto the iomega zip partition icon.  The copy
process begins alright, but after reading about 50 files, the process is
halted with the error window (stop sign and error number).  However, if
I just drag an 800k disk icon onto a iomega zip partition, it copies
with no problem.
I've often wondered if one of my RAM chips is bad.  I have 7mb of RAM in
my Rom 3 GS.  Could this be the problem?  (bad RAM)  Or does sys 6.0.1
have a problem with me dragging a 32mb partition onto another for
copying purposes?  Thanks again for any help here.
