iomega zip drive on GS

I picked up the 100mb zip drive recently, and am using it on my GS with
an original Apple rev.c SCSI card.  The drive works nicely as 3 32mb
ProDOS partitions per 100mb disk.  Does anyone have any suggestions or
recommendations about using this drive on their GS?  Are the most recent
ROMs for the RamFAST able to prevent the system hanging problem after the
drive has gone into sleep mode?
In my opinion, it's an excellent buy... certainly slower than a hard
drive.... but it's simplicity is top notch.  It would have been nice
to select SCSI IDs other than only 5 or 6 though.
I saw the Iomega Jaz 1.0GB drive advertised yesterday.  Wow!  If I had
the $1150 (CDN$) to throw down for it, I wouldn't have passed it up.
