Canton, Michigan, December 15, 1995:

Phineas Fiske (PFiske@aol.com) and Dan Verkade (DanBV@aol.com), the
developers of 1040Works, today announced their intention to discontinue
their popular Federal Income Tax templates for AppleWorks. They
appreciate your support over the years but indicate that the shrinking
market for Apple II products and other demands on their time conspired to
make it impossible for them to continue updating and testing the
templates.

With this decision, the rights to the 1040Works name and the product
revert back to Phineas Fiske, who originated the idea for 1040Works and
originally produced these popular templates.

We are all sorry to see the passing of such a fine product and wish to
congratulate and thank Phineas and Dan for their excellent work and
support over these past ten years.
