Re: USCD Pascal on a CFFA drive
Forgot to mention:
If I zero the CF card to 32767 blocks ($FFFF/2) then I am able to use
the CF for read write and can boot from the card with #5
So here a "how to "to run Pascal 1.3 from a CFFA card. (Also for my
future reference, I have a poor memory)
0) Put the CFFA card into Slot 5
1) Boot Pascal 1.3 from Disk and format the CF card
2) Zero the CF card to a maximum of 32767 blocks ( this is equal to a
hefty 16 MB)
3) Transfer all system files to the CF card.
4) Boot with PR#5 and enjoy
By typing this I realize that I have to investigate if the CFFA
firmware would make a difference.
I will do this later.
Last thing:
This is just a work around.
My goal is
a) to use the full CF capacity (in my case 32MB)
b) find a solution for the 77 file limitation (maybe a couple of
volumes as described by user Steve in a older post)
