If you can use the CD Drive with your GS, then most CD's will work. By
this I mean that i) you use a RamFAST, or
ii) you have another SCSI card and a driver.

This is a very misleading statement. The RF.NEC driver is for the Media
Control control panel to allow you to play audio CD's (or CD's with an
audio track) from the GS. It has nothing whatsoever to do with whether or
not you can make use of CD ROMs. But if you want to listen to music...

I have a RamFAST rev d and a CD SC 300e (I also used a NEC CDR37 with the
RamFAST) and have not ever had any trouble reading the GO CD.

I did however have problems with another CD which I had burnt for my own
purposes. It contained 630 Mb of copyrighted software (from my own
collections ==> all the resource central, softdisk, orca (etc) software I
own) but would not show up on the desktop. I could read it on the mac
fine, but not the GS until I patched the HFS.FST (as per the currently
circulating patch courtesy Jawaid). Now it shows up fine, and I have a
(more) permanant archive of my software. A friend of mine also could not
read that CD on his GS (HS SCSI & CD SC 150) until he also patched his FST.

You can try to patch your HFS.FST, but I doubt that that will work since
you should still see the ProDOS partition on the CD (the first one) even
if the HFS.FST is the problem.
