re:Need S/W for KoalaPad

 Tim let the beans talk:

TC(F| I just got my hands on an original Koala pad (The Small One) with

Deja vu, so did I the other day, from a Goodwill!! :)

     | 14pin joystick connector. Does anyone have any of the original
     | software for it? And does anyone know of what software programs
     | supported it?

I'd pass along the KoalaPaint disk but see the box was EMPTY when I got
it. Yes, got the box and docs but no disk!! But at least the thing
works and it came with the stylus (which you'd think would be the first
thing to get lost!). Anyhow, to answer the question...

The KoalaPad is a semi-replacement for a joystick, so any software that
uses a stick can use it okay. Not perfectly: when I got mine I went
through my stuff to check stuff out, and... You can't get the cursor
all the way to the menu bar in Newsroom (a tap of the left arrow brings
it in, though) or Graphics Pro (no hope at all; GP supports Apple's
tablet but not the Koala). It works just fine with Publish It! 4, and I
even played a few games of Spy's Demise with it. :) Some software
which it automatically supports are Printshop and DazzleDraw -- and that
concludes what I had onhand to test it out with. There's bound to be
more out there that uses the KoalaPad natively or as a joystick well.

                                                 << mushroom >>

who Velcro'd his stylus to the pad above the buttons just in case
