A little while ago, I experienced very similar problems.
Suddenly, my computer started crashing for no apparent reason.  With
all cards removed - except the zip & 4megs - it would run.  If any
other cards were added (SS, RamFast) it would crash.  It turned out
to be the power supply.  The _12V_ line was weak - when I tested it,
it would produce only about 10 volts @ .8 amps, and drop significantly
from there.

Anyway, the moral of the story is, it still could have been your
power supply (pretty likely, since your PS has since died), and I
would try another.  I ordered another PS from Alltech, and have been
running fine since.
