I for one have absolutely no problem with seeing a notice online in this
area that there is a free catalog available.  (And an excellent one it
is; I have one.)  Not everyone gets/reads the Marketplace group, and
since the item in question is FREE then it's hardly the kind of adver-
tising this group is to shun ("send $x to...").  Were it not for what-
ever mention you've made in this area, many like myself would not know
about the catalog (or presently own one).

Agree fully.  There's a lot worse things to harp on.  Whiners need to
take on spammers, not legit ON-TOPIC posts/posters.

And in a plug of my own:  the Alltech holiday edition of their catalog
has come out and arrived in my snailbox yesterday.  It's worth the call
to California, folks.  Didn't know before that the Focus internal hard
drive comes in FOUR sizes (20m, 80m, 120m, 170m), and used info from the
ad in the catalog to negate a user-group member who said that more than
20 megs can't be used by a //e [it can; the SmartPort (slot 5?) recog-
nises 14 partitions, each up to 32 megs... that's 244 megs possible!].
