What PowerPC are you looking to buy?

We just got a PowerPC 7200 at work.  BAD NEWS!!!  Avoid this model,
although the 6100 series  or 7100 series will probably work.

1) PowerPC 7200 will not run _any_ current version of Appleshare server
software, v4.x and under.  

2) PowerPC 7200 will not run a modem and Appletalk simultaneously.  Appletalk
must be disabled to use the geoport modem adapter.  (Evidently the 7200 and
the 9500 both share this little boo-boo).  Apple has promised a future
software upgrade to fix this problem, but that does us no good at the
present.

3) A PowerPC 7200 locks up - a lot!  We haven't found a MacSE applic yet
  that will run without bombing the PowerPC 7200.  So much for Mac emulation.

Just a few observations based on 3 days of unproductive usage.  Your mileage
hopefully will be better :)
