3.5 on a //e

Hey all-

I recently purchased two 3.5 drives.  One is an Apple 3.5 and the
other is an Applied Engineering 800k.  I assume it's an Apple
work-alike.

I would like to hook up these drives to my //e and was wondering 
what type of interface card I'd need to get in order to use them?
I know that several companies manufactured Universal Drive
Controllers a few years back.  I was wondering if there are any 
other type of cards that I could use as well?  Are these drives
compatible at all with the //e?

They work fine on my IIc+, although the AE drive won't boot up
when I have a disk in the drive.  I don't know if this is a
incompatability problem or the drive is on the fritz (or getting
there).

If anyone can help me, I'd be very grateful.
