Problem of the soooo sloooow HD solved...well, mostly...

Okay, I received about a half dozen different suggestions for helping my HD
boot up when it is cold.
 
  15-20 minutes to get to the desktop.
 
The solution was a strange one, but I tried many many things.
 
Someone said turn the HD upside down.  Normally, I'd scoff, but I was desperate!
Bam!  It worked!  Hadn't had the HD on all day, turned it upside down and
zoooom!  Guess it has something to do with spinning and lube - who cares - it
worked!
 
The only problem is: every know it all will remark: "Y'know, that Hard Drive is
upside down..."
