Sure, just as long as you don't do something stupid like splice the 12V
to the 5V.  Also, you may run into problems if the Wattage of the supply
is less than the GS.  I marginally less, then it should work, just don't
expect to populate all of the slots (which does not even work on some
GS's depending on the cards).
