There is one more alternative you forgot to mention, a clone of
the Apple II 3.5 Controller Card, manufactured by ABC Direct. I recieved
a copy of their Summer catalog which lists it available as of October '95.

It's offical name is the A.L.I. (Advanced Logic Integration)
3.5" Controller Card, and according to the information given, it sounds
functionally identical to the Apple card. Whether or not it's available now
or how well it works compared to the offical (rare) Apple card is unknown.
I've not seen or tried one, nor has anyone else as far as I know, unless
they've started shipping (have they?).
