Brutal Deluxe, in association with Shareware Solutions II, will soon be
releasing their very first commercial software product for the Apple IIGS.
 
Under development for 2+ years, Convert 3200 was used by Brutal Deluxe as
their in-house graphics conversion utility to help port graphics to their
smash-hit freeware games Cogito, Tinies Construction Kit and The Opale
Demo.
 
Now sporting a user-friendly interface similar to that found in Brutal
Deluxe's games, Convert 3200 is a speed demon! As an example, it can
convert a GIF graphic to 320 x 200 Super Hi Res format using 16, 256 or
3200 colors in 15 seconds!
 
Convert 3200 can convert the following formats:
 
- DYA                   3200 colors                     320*200
- PaintWorks Gold       16, 256 colors                  up to 640*400
- PackBytes             16, 256, 3200 colors            up to 640*200
- ApplePreferredFormat  16, 256, 3200+ colors           limit of 1280*800
- FrenchFormats (APP, NRL) 3200 colors                  320*200
- Unpacked screen       16, 256, 3200 colors            up to 640*200
- Windows BMP           up to 256 colors                limit of 1280*800
                        (compressed or uncompressed)
- Compuserve GIF        up to 256 colors                limit of 1280*800
- Amiga .IFF/ PC .LBM   up to 256 colors                limit of 1280*800
                        (compressed or uncompressed)
- Paintbrush PCX        up to 256 colors                limit of 1280*800
- TIFF                  up to 256 colors                limit of 1280*800
                        (MacPackBits compressed or uncompressed)
- Binary PC             256 colors              limit of 1280*800

Once converted, Convert 3200 can save files in the following formats:
 
- ApplePreferredFormat  16, 256, 3200 colors
- Windows BMP           256 colors
- Paintbrush PCX        256 colors
- TIFF                  256 colors
- Binary PC             256 colors
 
Due to be released in November, 1995, Convert 3200 will be available from
Shareware Solutions II for $15, which includes postage to anywhere in the
world. The complete source code will also become available, at a later
date, to owners of Convert 3200 for an additional $5.

BTW, Olivier Zardini - the online voice of Brutal Deluxe - has finished his
university studies and is currently serving in the French Army. He will be
back online in several short weeks, but with a slightly different e-mail
