Mean 18 virtual tourney FAQ

How do I join?

Send an email to progreen@ncw.net or to c.orem@genie.com
stating your interest, and you'll begin! There are no dues
or age/skill requirements.

We have played: Pebble Beach, Augusta National, Muirfield,
Castle Pines and are currently on Kapalua.

What we do?
=====================

We all play the same course for a week, and brag about the
scores, bitch about the bad breaks, and then choose a new
course for the next week. We have played: Pebble Beach,
Augusta National, Muirfield, Castle Pines and are currently
playing  Kapalua.

Submitting the entire scorecard, instead of just posting the
final score, so we can compare how we did on each hole, is
suggested.

The person posting the lowest round score picks next weeks
course and is responsible for getting the course to those
that need it. Winning scores have ranged from around 6 under
to 9 under par.

Scores and round descriptions are due to be posted via email
by Saturday morning.

How do we play?

I think pry everyone is comfortable with the Pro Tees and
Expert skill level, so we should only post scores that were
done with those settings.

My personal opinion, is that handicaps are kind of
irrelevant in computer golf.

Best game of the week, unlimited attempts.

What are the rules?

Where do I get Mean18 from?
=====================

Got me, try to get a used copy from
comp.sys.apple2.marketplace, it's no longer in distribution.

Where can I get courses?
=====================

Most Mean18 courses are Public Domain, and are freely
distributable. GEnie has a hundred or so available in it's
database, plus new ones can be easily made using the Course
Architect feature.

Course files for the PC and GS versions of Mean 18 are
compatible.
