FORGET IT! Sportster SI modems don't have compression or error
correction built in. Instead, they use a piece of Windoze software to
emulate these functions. Without compression or (especially) error
correction, your life will be miserable. Spend the extra bux and get a
modem that has v.42/MNP etc. built in.
