SYS = ProDOS system file
AWP = AppleWorks wordprocessor file
ADB = Appleworks database file
ASP = Appleworks spreadsheet file
TXT = plain ascii text file
BIN = 6502 assembly binary file.   type  BRUN FILENAME in prodos to execute one.
lessee, other file type.  

DIR = directory
BAS = BASIC file

there are others, but i havent touched my IIc in years (ever since it
burned out on me!)
